The Incredible Years – Preschool Parenting Programme - age 3-6

The Incredible Years Preschool Parenting Programme is designed for parents and carers of children aged 3–6 years. The programme supports parents and carers in building positive relationships with their children and strengthening the bond between parent and child. It offers practical strategies to encourage children’s social, emotional and language development, while promoting positive approaches to discipline.
Parents and carers will explore ways to help their children develop emotional regulation and social skills, build school readiness and prepare for the transition into school. The programme also encourages positive partnerships with teachers and childcare professionals to support children’s learning, development and wellbeing.

Our antenatal education supports parents to build an attuned and connected relationship with their baby, giving them the best start for life. This is a 5 week course for expecting parents and Evidence-based, research-informed teaching and resources prepare parents for labour, birth and early parenting, building their confidence.

Solihull Approach education brings together practical ideas with information about brain development and psychoanalytic theory to support emotional wellbeing of both parent and baby. Focussed on supporting the parent-infant relationship, learning is designed to help build foundations for emotional wellbeing for life. We’re here for mums, dads, grandparents and all family carers but also to equip professionals with the tools they need to raise the emotional health of parent and child.
Circle of security

This is an 8-week course (1 day per week) that looks at supporting and developing knowledge around attachment.
Secure attachment relationships with caregivers are a protective factor for infants and preschoolers, and they set the foundation for social competence and promote effective functioning of the emotion regulation and stress response systems. The course aims to create lasting change in the attachment relationship that comes from caregivers’ developing specific relationship capacities rather than learning techniques to manage behaviour.
The course is based on the principle that all caregivers want what is best for their children.

The programme offers practical strategies to help toddlers feel loved and secure, while supporting their language, social and emotional development.
Parents and carers will explore ways to establish clear and predictable routines, manage separations and reunions, and use positive discipline to respond to challenging behaviour. The programme aims to build parents’ confidence and help create a happy, supportive environment where toddlers can thrive.
